Try Inflow

I tested Inflow for two weeks and noticed a sharp decrease in my procrastination tendencies, feelings of anxiety, and more.

Inflow is a science-based app designed for individuals with attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). It’s rooted in cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) with strategies, daily educational content, and convenient modules to address ADHD-related concerns. Inflow also provides text-based coaching and community support for a well-rounded approach to ADHD symptom management.

The Inflow app houses a variety of features, including “your daily routine” space, learning modules, and access to a supportive community, all of which I found to be invaluable as I tested this product over the course of two weeks.

In this article, we’ll explore Inflow’s ADHD program, including our experience using it, key features, cost, and more.

Our Quick Take

Inflow combines self-paced lessons, text-based coaching, mood journaling, and mindfulness exercises in an affordable app. Unlike many of its competitors, it offers community support, student discounts, and financial aid. It’s an ideal option for anyone seeking an affordable supplement to ADHD medications, or a comprehensive, medication-free ADHD program.

Inflow App Pros & Cons

Pros

  • Designed by leading clinicians who specialize in ADHD
  • More affordable (starting at $0.55 daily) with student discounts and financial aid options
  • Virtual co-working and community support provide accountability, validation, and a sense of connection
  • Text-based coaching is available for personalized support from trained ADHD coaches

Weaknesses

  • Doesn’t address other mental health conditions, so not ideal for everyone
  • Doesn’t provide ADHD diagnoses or prescriptions, except for Inflow users in Florida

Our Experience With the Inflow ADHD App

Overall, I found the Inflow app to be intuitive and simple to use. I took the intake quiz to start, which was developed by Dr. George Sachs, a licensed clinical psychologist who specializes in ADHD and also has been diagnosed with ADHD, giving him invaluable insights. The quiz identified ADHD symptoms, emotional aspects of ADHD, and my goals for the program. I found it to be thorough yet simple to complete, and it provided helpful insights into my symptoms.

The Inflow app contains a variety of features within an easy-to-navigate interface, which I really liked using. I particularly appreciated the “your daily routine” space to help keep me organized, modules with new challenges and tasks, and opportunities to interact with the community of other users.

While Inflow is highly affordable at $0.55 per day, the company wants to accommodate all financial situations. So, there’s a free subscription available for a limited number of people who can demonstrate financial need, as well as a student discount. I love that Inflow walks the walk when it comes to accessibility.

Inflow’s affordability and free program makes it a particularly good choice for individuals who may or may not be on medication and who aren’t currently in talk therapy, but still want some additional support in their lives with Inflow’s coaching.

What Is the Inflow ADHD Management App?

The Inflow ADHD program may help individuals who would prefer not to take prescription ADHD medications, but still want ongoing support and coaching. However, it can also be used by those who want to continue taking their meds and can supplement their routine with educational content. In either case, Inflow can help improve your organizational skills, emotional regulation, understanding of ADHD, and ability to reach your goals.

Inflow currently only offers clinical services, including formal ADHD diagnoses and prescription medications, to Florida users. If you’re living outside of Florida, Inflow can’t be used as a diagnostic tool or a source of medical services. With that said, you don’t need to have been diagnosed with ADHD to use Inflow; the program accepts self-diagnosed individuals and those who suspect they may have ADHD.

Why We Recommend the Inflow App

We recommend Inflow because it’s designed by expert medical professionals with firsthand ADHD experience. Additionally, with its affordability program, student discount, and an extensive array of user-centric features, Inflow backs up its mission to support all individuals with symptoms of ADHD – not just those who can afford the monthly fee.

  1. Affordable: Starting at just $0.55 per day, Inflow’s ADHD app is one of the most affordable options for individualized ADHD education and support. Plus, with Inflow’s free option for select individuals with proven financial need and student discounts, the app is accessible to many.
  2. Self-Directed Program: Inflow’s ADHD app is self-paced and self-directed, so you can seamlessly fit it into your schedule. Inflow only requires 5 minutes of use per day to make progress toward your ADHD-related goals. With daily tasks and modules, Inflow provides excellent continuity of care without requiring lengthy sessions.
  3. Free 7-Day Trial: We all have different needs and preferences, so Inflow may not work for everyone. Thankfully, Inflow offers a 7-day free trial, allowing you to test the program without risk or financial obligation. After trying the app for 7 days, you can feel confident in committing to the program or going a different route (and if you forget to cancel during the trial, Inflow will provide a full refund for the subscription cost).
  4. Designed by Leading Clinicians and ADHD Experts: Inflow was founded and designed by an impressive team of clinicians and ADHD experts. The Inflow team consists of board-certified physicians, clinical psychologists, and psychiatrists specializing in ADHD. Inflow App vs. Sensa

While Inflow is only designed for ADHD symptoms, Sensa addresses a variety of conditions, including ADHD, stress, anxiety, procrastination, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), burnout, and social anxiety. Both platforms use cognitive behavioral therapy and offer self-paced lessons with daily tasks, mood journaling, and mindfulness exercises. But, only Inflow provides community support and text-based coaching. So, while Sensa tackles a much broader range of mental health concerns than Inflow, Inflow offers a more well-rounded program for individuals with symptoms of ADHD.

Inflow App vs. Noom Mood

Noom Mood’s in-app program primarily focuses on stress. Noom has a 13-year history as an effective weight loss program, while Inflow is only a few years old. But, while Noom is a more established brand, its mood program lacks a refund policy, free trial, student discounts, financial aid, and the ability to cancel anytime, all of which are available with Inflow. Additionally, while both Inflow and Noom Mood provide text-based coaching and CBT strategies, only Inflow offers community support.

The Verdict: Is the Inflow ADHD App Worth a Download?

The Inflow app is a science-backed program for individuals experiencing ADHD-related symptoms. It’s ideal for those who want to avoid medications for ADHD, as well as those taking medications who would like additional accountability and support.

Inflow uses proven CBT strategies, ongoing education, valuable tools, text-based coaching, and community support to address ADHD-related challenges. The program requires just 5 minutes of use per day and starts at $0.55 daily, making it attainable for many. Inflow also provides student discounts and free subscriptions for individuals who can prove financial need.

While Inflow doesn’t address as many mental health conditions as its competitors, it’s one of the most affordable and well-rounded in-app programs for individuals with ADHD.
